To be eligible for voter registration in California, you must:
Be a United States citizen
Be a resident of California
Be 18 years old by the date of the election
Not be in prison, on parole, serving a state prison sentence in county jail, or serving a sentence for a felony
Not have been found by a court to be mentally incompetent
4. Do I need to re-register?
You will need to re-register to vote if your address, name, and/or party affiliation has changed since your last registration.
